A waterworks facility in Cebu, Philippines has strengthened its energy resilience with a hybrid solar and battery energy storage system installed by AGY Solar.
The system combines approximately 80 kWh of Pytes HV48100 high-voltage battery storage, a 50 kW Deye three-phase hybrid inverter, and a 32 kWp solar PV array.
Designed to address an unstable grid supply while improving the use of onsite solar generation, the system is now fully operational and supporting the facility's daily power requirements.

Application: Waterworks System
Location: Cebu, Philippines
Battery Storage: 80 kWh
Battery: 2 Sets × 8 BMU Pytes HV48100
Inverter: 50 kW Deye Three-Phase Hybrid Inverter
Solar PV: 32 kWp
Installer: AGY Solar
Estimated Payback Period: Approximately 5 Years

Reliable electricity is particularly important for waterworks operations, where pumps and other electrical equipment depend on a stable power supply.
At the same time, Cebu and the wider Visayas region have experienced periods of grid supply constraints and power interruptions, making greater energy resilience an important consideration for commercial and infrastructure facilities.
The customer needed a solution that could combine solar generation, energy storage, and three-phase hybrid power while providing dependable technical support throughout installation and operation.
AGY Solar deployed two Pytes HV48100 battery systems, each configured with eight battery modules, providing approximately 80 kWh of total energy storage capacity.
Working together with the 50 kW Deye hybrid inverter and 32 kWp PV array, the system allows solar energy to be utilized more effectively while stored energy can provide additional power support when required.
The modular high-voltage architecture also provides flexibility for future system expansion as energy requirements grow.

Following installation and commissioning, the system is fully operational.
The project provides the waterworks facility with a more resilient energy infrastructure while helping maximize the value of its solar generation. Based on the current project assessment, the system is expected to achieve an estimated payback period of approximately five years.
Beyond the equipment itself, product availability and responsive technical support during installation and after-sales service were important factors in the successful delivery of the project.
